Climate Change Adaptation - A Panel Discussion Open to the Public
Bring Together Diverse Perspectives on Climate Change
This event is organized by the Edmonton Baha’i Community, with the support of the Strathcona Community League and its Green Committee
The public forum will begin with a virtual keynote delivered from Switzerland by Dr. Arthur Dahl.
Keynote Speaker – Arthur Lyon Dahl
Arthur Dahl is President of the International Environmental Forum and a retired Deputy Assistant Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
He has been and continues to be a consultant to the World Economic Forum, World Bank, Climate Governance Commission and other international organizations as well as Visiting Professor to universities in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.
From 2000 to 2002 he was Director of the Coral Reef Unit, Division of Environmental Conventions, at the United Nations Environment Programme in Geneva, and from 1992 to 2000, Coordinator of the System-wide Earthwatch of the United Nations Environment Programme in Geneva.
Arthur Dahl’s consultancies have covered indicators of sustainability, environmental assessment and observing strategies, coral reefs, biodiversity, islands, environmental education, and social and economic development.
