Century of Light: Centenary of ‘Abdu’l-Baha’s Visit to Canada 1912-2012
The effects of this historic visit are showcased at the Alberta Art Gallery, 2 Sir Winston Churchill Square, on August 26th throughout the day between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. in an interactive display with hourly guided tours.
An evening historic talk with original vocal and instrumental performances will inform, inspire and entertain.

Century of Light: Centenary of ‘Abdu’l-Baha’s Visit to Canada 1912-2012
100 years ago ‘Abdu’l-Baha, Son of the Founder of the Baha’i Faith, spent nine days in Canada electrifying audiences spiritually and practically on themes of world peace, eliminating prejudice and promoting equality between women and men. Revolutionary then and even more necessary now, these ideals have now spread from a handful of early Baha’is in Montreal to close to 40,0000 strong across Canada today.
